Am 8. August hat unsere Reise hier begonnen, in Chicago, dem Anfang der Route 66

Das offizielle Ende der Route 66 in Santa Monica und unser Zertifikat
auf welches wir sehr stolz sind. Jetzt sind wir ganz offiziell "Roadies"
The End of the Trail and our Certificate of Completion
We are very proud of it and can call ourselves Roadies.

California
In Kalifornien geht's jetzt Richtung Norden zu dem Baumriesen im Sequoia und Kings Canyon
National Park, dann über den Yosemite NP zum Mono Lake und zur Ghost Town Bodie.
We are heading North to the giant trees of Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park,
then via Yosemite NP to Mono Lake and the Ghost Town of Bodie.

Nevada
In Nevada geht's über's Clown Motel, zu Zelle 31 in Ely, zum ET Highway ... Powerstrecke.
Through Nevada in two days - we pass the Clown Motel and sleep in cell 131 in Ely,
then drive the ET Highway getting very close to Area 51 ...

Utah
Berühmt und bekannt durch seine malerischen Nationalparks.
Auf unserer Liste standen Canyonlands und Arches National Park
2 Tage wandern, erkunden und entdecken.
Best known for its picturesques National Parks.
On our list we had only two of them - Canyonlands and Arches National Park,
2 days of hiking, discovering and exploring.

Colorado
Colorado und die Rocky Mountains einfach unbeschreiblich schöne Landschaften.
Hier waren wir auf unserem höchsten Punkt der Reise - Monarch Crest 3.448 m.
Ganz schön dünn die Luft da oben!
Colorado and the Rocky Mountains with marvelous landscapes.
The highest elevation on our trip - 11,312 ft.
Pretty thin air up there!
